After being non-tendered by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at the end of November, Blake Parker has now found work with the Minnesota Twins after signing a deal on Monday that is, according to Jeff Passan, worth “slightly more than $3 million.”
Parker had a solid season with the Angels in 2018 posting 14 saves with a 3.26 ERA through 66 1/3 innings. The Angels apparently did not want to undergo the arbitration process with Parker and the Twins will capitalize on this questionable move.
Parker will likely serve as the Twins closer as they attempt to revamp their roster in hopes of overthrowing the Cleveland Indians in their division.
